Previda®
Preimplantation Genetic Testing
for Aneuploidies (PGT-A)
By reducing the risk of miscarriage and increasing the chance of implantation, PGT-A can help women of all ages increase the likelihood of a successful pregnancy.
PGT-A enables your IVF care team to identify the best candidates for embryo transfer. Testing can reduce the number of cycles needed to achieve pregnancy, resulting in overall savings of time and costs associated with extra IVF cycles.
Regardless of age, all women can produce chromosomally abnormal embryos, so PGT-A is useful for the majority of patients undergoing IVF. Certain risk factors may increase the likelihood of aneuploidy. PGT-A is especially recommended for patients in the following groups:
Results from Previda® provide important information about the embryo’s chromosomal health before implantation. Your IVF care team will use PGT-A results to identify the best option(s) for embryo transfer.
Euploid embryos are generally associated with higher implantation rates compared to aneuploid/mosaic embryos and are recommended for transfer. Aneuploid embryos are not recommended for transfer due to the increased risk of implantation failure, miscarriage, or developmental disorders in newborns.
Genetic counseling is a great resource for patients to address a variety of topics including family/pregnancy history, genetic testing options, understanding results, and clinical decision-making. Genetic counseling is available through the Revela portal.
At Progenesis, our patients are our highest priority.
